Summary
This study is testing a new drug called BNT3214 (also known as PM8102) in people for the first time. The aim is to find out whether the drug is safe, and how well it works in adults with advanced solid cancers.
Who can participate?
You may be eligible if you:
- are aged 18 years or older
- have a solid cancer that is locally advanced, recurrent or has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic)
- your cancer has worsened after previous treatment, or standard treatments are no longer suitable or have not worked for you
The study will have three parts.
Part A and B (dose finding)
These early parts will test different doses of BNT3214. The goal is to find the safest dose and the dose that is most likely to work.
Part B may only go ahead if results from Part A suggest that a different dosing schedule could be better.
Part C (expansion phase)
This part looks at how well selected doses work in different types of cancer.
There will be different groups (cohorts) in this phase:
- Some are dose optimisation cohorts, where participants are randomly assigned (by chance) to one of two dose levels to compare them.
- Others are dose expansion cohorts, where participants are assigned to cancer-specific groups based on earlier results.
What participation involves
Participants will receive BNT3214 for up to 2 years, or until one of the following happens:
- the cancer gets worse
- the treatment causes unacceptable side effects
- the participant chooses to stop
- the doctor decides the treatment is no longer helping
- the study ends for other reasons
