Summary
You may be eligible for this study if you have stage IIIB/IIIC or IV, squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and are not eligible for surgery or radical radiation therapy.
You should not have had prior systemic therapy for your locally advanced, recurrent or distant metastatic sqNSCLC. People who have received prior adjuvant or neoadjuvant therapy are allowed to be enrolled if this was completed at least 6 months before the diagnosis of advanced/metastatic disease.
The study consists of two parts.
Part I (a Phase II study)
Part I of this study will test how well and how safely a new medicine caleld HLX07 works when it is given together with serplulimab and standard chemotherapy.
Participants will be randomly assigned (by chance) to receive either HLX07 or a placebo, along with serplulimab and chemotherapy.
Part II (a Phase III study)
Part II of the study will also look at how well and how safely HLX07 works, but in a larger group of patients.
Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either HLX07 with serplulimab and chemotherapy, or a placebo with pembrolizumab and chemotherapy.
