Clinical summary
Summary
The research project is trying to find out if we can improve the results of best available chemotherapy for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL) by the addition of a new drug called lenalidomide.
Conditions
This trial is treating people with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia
Eligibility
Inclusion
PATIENT CHARACTERISTICS:
- ECOG performance status 0-3
- Life expectancy > 6 months
- No severe organ dysfunction
- No other prior or concurrent neoplasm, autoimmune hemolytic anemia, or thrombocytopenia
PRIOR CONCURRENT THERAPY:
- No more than three previous treatment regimens for CLL (fludarabine allowed)
Inclusion
- You have had a certain type of treatment or surgical procedure.
Exclusion
- You have been diagnosed with a prior or secondary type of cancer.
- You have certain types of non-cancer medical conditions.
- You have had certain treatments, surgical procedures or drugs.
